Sondex 1.0.0 Build 7 Release Notes

We’ve been busy. This build introduces a massive redesign of Sondex, focusing on usability, cleaner aesthetics, and smoother navigation throughout the app.

Before You Dive In: A Note on Pro Subscriptions

We’ve integrated our new Pro Subscription architecture using StoreKit in this build. Here’s what you need to know:

You will not be charged real money. TestFlight transactions run in Apple’s Sandbox environment, so please feel free to go through the entire purchase flow to help us test the experience. Apple does not process actual payments for TestFlight builds.

Charts & Visualization

The charts interface has been completely reimagined for better readability and interaction. We’ve redesigned the overlay controls and added a new ChartToggleRow for easier data management. A dedicated ChartControlBar now unifies all chart interactions in one place, and we’ve made significant updates to the SkewT rendering logic for higher accuracy and performance.

Library & Dashboard

The Library Dashboard has been refactored with a fresh focus on statistics and data visibility. You’ll find a brand new Model Comparison feature built directly into the library, along with redesigned archive and model views that match our new design language. We’ve also added file history components for better tracking of your data over time.

Timeline & Navigation

We’ve introduced the InfiniteSlider with significantly improved UI interactions across the timeline. The timeline sliders and action bar have been redesigned for a more modern look, and we’ve implemented a global action bus to handle tab bar actions more reliably.

Maps & Details

The StationRunDetailsView has received a complete redesign to improve information density and overall UX. We’ve also refactored UI components on the map and enhanced analytics actions throughout.

Under the Hood

Navigation logic has been refactored for smoother transitions between the Dashboard, Library, and Map views, along with various component updates to ensure consistency across the entire app.

What to Test

We’d love your feedback on a few specific areas:

The Paywall — Try “subscribing” to make sure the flow works smoothly (remember, no charge).

The New Charts — Play with the overlay controls and check out the updated SkewT rendering.

Navigation — Move between the Dashboard and Archive views and let us know if you spot any visual glitches.

Thanks for testing with us.
